ACCE

The African Council for Communication Education

The African Council for Communication Education (ACCE) was established in Kenya in 1976 by UNESCO, and charged with promoting communication education and practice all over Africa. ACCE depended largely on funding from international foundations, especially DANNIDA, Friedrich Ebert Stiftung, Ford Foundation, and UNDP. The Nigerian Chapter is a veritable network of dedicated communication teachers and researchers in the universities and polytechnics.

The Association of Communication Scholars and Practitioners of Nigeria

The Association of Communication Scholars and Practitioners of Nigeria (ACSPN) was established to fill the gap between serious communication research and practice and it has become an energetic organization, which excels in hosting conferences, publishing reports, and coordinating international collaborative engagements with UNESCO and similar international agencies.

ORBICOM

The UNESCO Think Tank in Communication and Education

This UNESCO Think Tank, with its headquarters at the University of Quebec, Montreal, Canada, is a unique international network that links communication leaders from academia, media, corporate, and government circles to design and implement programs in advocacy, education, fostering alliances, publications, research, and training. Derived from UNESCO’s Communication Strategy, ORBICOM’s mandate is to globally enhance communication in all its varied ramifications. 

TRI-COLLEGE UNIVERSITY

The Consortium of North Dakota State University, Minnesota State University, Concordia College, North Dakota State College of Science, and Minnesota State Community and Technical College

Originally a consortium of three institutions, namely North Dakota State University, Fargo; Minnesota State University, Moorhead; and Concordia College, Moorhead, which was established to encourage synergy and inter-campus collaboration, it has now expanded with the addition of two institutions, North Dakota State College of Science (NDSCS), Wahpeton, ND, and Minnesota State Community and Technical College (MSCTC), Moorhead, MN.
